Regional training sessions on new anti-corruption legislation application

Institute of Applied Humanitarian Research will organize a series of trainings for public servants, prosecutors and lawyers within the project supported by the International Foundation "Renaissance" in cooperation with UNDP Ukraine.

Leading experts in the field of anti-corruption legislation will develop training materials and conduct several sessions to explain the application of the new anticorruption legislation.

The Observation Court Proceedings Monitoring to assess the application of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine

Since September 15 the main stage of the courts proceedings' monitoring in Kyiv has been conducting by monitors who were trained and conducted pilot month of courts proceedings' observation. For monitors training on 11 September to be held to discuss problems faced by monitors during pilot stage of the monitoring and to further improve the questionnaire according to courts trials being monitored.

As part of the implementation of Ukraine’s new Criminal Procedure Code, the Ombudsman and its partners on Friday, June 6, 2014, announced a project to monitor proceedings in Kyiv area courtsfrom July through December 2014.

The deadline for applications is June 19, 2014.
All monitors will receive training on the new CPC and the requirements for monitors.

EaP/CoE Facility Project on “Good Governance and Fight against Corruption” has organized a Regional Workshop “Reviewing and sharing of good practices on processing and verifying assets declarations” to take place on 28 and 29 May 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey. The activity focused on training professionals and civil society representatives, such as investigative journalists or NGOs, on how to financially analyse declarations and to detect hidden income and expenditures.
